Three little pills
Sat waiting on the shelf.
One large and round,
One long and lean,
The third more like myself.
Three little pills
Content to watch
As I fill the glass with water.
“Take me!”
“No, me!”
They begin to shriek.
I rarely have an order.
Three little pills,
So light, so bright,
The truth lies behind their masks so white.
Each tiny speck
A chink of chain around my neck.
A deep breath.
I reach out.
Continuing the fight.
